Someone asked me what are hypnotherapy downloads. I can explain, a hypnotherapy download is something I think everyone can benefit from. First of all we all have issues right? Well if you don’t then either you don’t know what an issue is or you are from the planet where people don’t have to work on themselves and you landed here by mistake! All kidding aside, everyone wants to better themselves whether it be to lose a little weight, maybe they need the motivation to exercise or they desperately need to stop smoking, but can’t seem to do it.

A hypnotherapy download is a recording whether a digital (MP3) or a C.D. That you can listen to when you are relaxing and can take some time to focus on yourself. They are best listened to when in bed at night with head phones so you will not be disturbed. You can even fall asleep to them and work on your issues while you sleep! How cool is that! Let’s face it therapy is expensive and in this economy it’s hard to find the kind of money you need to seriously consider a couple years in therapy. So these 30-40 minute recordings do the same thing in a way, you just need to determine what it is you want to work on and get out your digital audio device, your head set and you are ready to work on yourself in the comfort of your home, in your bed no less!

It is extremely relaxing so you want to be in a comfortable place. When you’re listening to these hypnotic recordings you don’t even really need to pay attention even if you fall asleep it’s OK, it still works. The point is to get it into the subconscious mind where it can help change long held belief systems. Once you calm your conscious mind, the subconscious can then listen and do the work for you with out the constant narrative from the conscious mind that says, “You can’t do that, you’re not good enough, etc.” The object is to bypass the critical mind and get into the computer of your mind, the human software that runs your life!

Travis Barker’s Considers Hypnotherapy to get over his crippling fear of flying.

Travis Barker joins the list of celebrities who have turned to Hypnosis to deal with their issues.

Hypnosis for Fear of FlyingBlink-182 star Travis Barker is considering hypnotherapy in a desperate bid to overcome his fear of flying following a 2008 plane crash, which claimed the lives of two friends.

The drummer suffered severe burns as he stumbled out of a blazing jet which burst into flames after failing to take-off in South Carolina, and he spent months in recovery.

Three years later, he still refuses to fly anywhere and admits his phobia has become a big problem in his professional life.

He says, “Unfortunately I can’t do as much touring as I would like because I don’t fly. It’s an obstacle. I’m working on it though.

“I’m trying to get hypnotized, trying to talk to a doctor who retrains your brain. Maybe he’ll help me fly again one day.”

Help me stop smoking – Will graphic warning help stop smoking?

Help to Stop Smoking, Stop smoking Hypnosis,Smokers should be prepared to be confronted with graphic labels that will soon cover almost half of the cigarette packages. Images will be showing sickness and death; which is designed to evoke disgust and revulsion. Congress passed a law requiring tobacco makers to put graphic health warnings on cigarette packages. This month, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published nine labels, which will appear on cigarette packaging by the fall of 2012.

Americans today fully understand that smoking is unsafe but will these labels make a difference? Despite all the efforts to stop smoking, advertising, taxes, educational campaigns and smoking bans, nearly 50 million Americans continue to put themselves in harms way. The hope is that the nauseating photos on the cigarette packages will kill the urge.

I don’t know if graphic images will stop people but I do know that hypnotherapy works! Typically after 1 or 2 session of hypnosis my clients quit for good. What is interesting to me is that most smokers think it will be too hard for them to quit so they never really try. Once they have spent a couple hours with me their belief system around it being too difficult to quit seems to change and their behavior follows soon after. They find out that an urge only lasts 3 to 5 minutes and then that urge will run its course and pass. They find that quitting using hypnosis is an enjoyable way to become a non-smoker and they didn’t have to be grossed out to do it. The graphic pictures may work for a small percentage and I hope it does because dying of lung cancer is not something anyone wants to do!

It’s no different than a pro having a personal trainer. The hard-to-break stereotype that hypnosis carries with it keeps people from finding out what a useful tool it can be. Hypnotherapy is a useful tool not only the typical issues that are associated with it like Smoking Cessation and Weight Loss but in helping athletes to become the best they can be at their sport. Visualization can be an extremely powerful tool and in a hypnosis session the client visualizes and practices in their mind doing their sport and various motor skills perfectly, until they feel more confident, able to overcome fear and experience lower anxiety levels. When the time comes to perform they have done the mental rehearsal in their mind so many times that they just go on auto pilot and the results are amazing! I have worked with many athletes and found that whether it is golf, skiing, or even dog sled racing, all athletes need to work on their anxiety levels, concentration, motivation, and self-confidence, as well as strengthening the neural patterns in the brain through mental rehearsal. Confident Job InterviewSometimes thinking about interviews can be really nerve-racking. Of course, you want to do your best, but sometimes when you are nervous, really stressed, you just can’t be at your best. Quite often, that can mean not getting that job you really want. You might be up nights worrying about an upcoming interview and this means sleeplessness, and you can be worn-out and exhausted even before you sit down for the interview. That just doesn’t work.

You could be absolutely terrified at an interview. Your heart might be racing, and you could be so afraid they won’t like you, that you can’t get the right words out. Overweight and trying to lose weight? Is that one of your life challenges?

earn to control your weight, lose weight by controlling your appetite.

Controlling the cravings that keep you overeating isn’t always easy, and with those cravings you might think it’s impossible to lose weight … but you would be wrong. Imagine what could happen if you could eliminate all cravings and eat only when you get body signals to feed the machine for its operation. Can you imagine that?

Cravings for food tend to be emotional and psychological and have little to do with physiological hunger to feed the body (your biochemical machine) to survive. Diet programs that control what, when, where you eat fail if you have cravings. Cravings win in the end because they require you to use willpower to stop them. And willpower doesn’t work.

You could simply reduce food intake, and stay on a controlled dietary intake program, you’d lose weight most certainly – with a plan that you like which has validity to it, and feeds your machine the nutrients it needs. If you like the program over a prolonged period – it will work for you because you’re psyched about it.

Watch out when you go off to the diet, you often will gain all the weight right back, plus more if you don’t have a maintenance plan in place! But, diets alone don’t work. Diets with extensive controls do not help control or reduce cravings and people will simply begin to regain weight.

People who have long-term issues with weight, are hard to motivate toward lifestyle change to eliminate the effects of long-term obesity. If they don’t find alternatives – the medical consequences are devastating. Doctors and surgeons have several approaches: special diets, exercises, and then – pills, pills, pills … pills for appetite control, pills to block fats, pills to build energy or the immune system, pills for this, and pills for that, and then if that doesn’t work, surgery for this, and for that – until finally they are either stapling your stomach or installing a gastric lap band. If you go that route, you have my prayers.

Medications that are prescribed as part of a self-help weight loss program can damage the heart or lungs and many have been banned because some previous patients have required heart or lung transplants from taking these medicines.

Fad diets, often cause rapid weight loss by disturbing the balances of the body, making it shed excess water needed for the muscular system and organs. Later in life nutritional deficiencies and organic failure occurs to rapid weight loss dieters.

Body reshaping exercise can be used as a weight loss strategy, there are issues with exercise where it’s misused and can damage the body. When you exercise strenuously in endurance training often the body goes into an anaerobic metabolism and stops normal calories burning, because the metabolism slows down to retain as much energy as possible.

Those who are overweight struggle with unconscious eating issues and controlling their appetites. The most effective way to overcome craving is through the use of hypnosis and self-hypnosis audio programs. Stop Smoking

Stop Smoking HypnosisI am not going to be the Whistleblower, and therefore I steadfastly refuse to be the one to tell you that smoking will kill you. After all, hasn’t the Tobacco Industry shown you all kinds of cool images, saying you’re in Marlboro Country and that’s cool to be here? Wait, the Marlboro Man died long ago from some horrid form of cancer, and isn’t around to enjoy it. Maybe Marlboro Country isn’t the place to be.

And, the tobacco companies show you South Pacific beaches or snowy Colorado mountains with skiers with menthol cigarettes to show you how really KOOL it can get. But in reality, if you smoke that stick, you’re in for a life sentence. We all know it, we all know someone who has or is suffering from it, and man – it’s addictive and you can’t stop without help. And, here’s the help you need to stop right now.

First, listen to this: While traveling abroad I found that the medical community outside the US took a more severe approach to the health threats of tobacco and printed pictures of tombstones, dead fetuses, and things like that on the cigarette pack itself, often on the flip top lid. Now, that’s scary.

Not the pictures themselves, although they are scary enough, but that someone who had a pack of cigarettes would take them out of their pocket and lift the hinged box lid which had some awful picture on it, and would take out a cigarette and see the picture and put the cigarette in their mouth and light it, and would close the box top, see the picture again and put in back in their pocket and start smoking. That’s really scary to me.

But, when you come to dollars and sense about it – gee, there are some great alternatives to the costs of smoking and perhaps you didn’t realize it. A person who smokes a pack a day is wasting about $1500 up just on cigarettes and lighters. Now, their insurance costs for health and life insured goes up considerably for the early years, health insurance is just like 15% more, after 40 the numbers really rack up, and by the time you compute how much health and life insurance cost, figure your annual cigarette cost is just unbelievably high until about 40 and from there it all depends what vile form of sickness the inhaling of poison causes, it could raise in your final years to hundreds of thousands of dollars per year, just the price of needless suffering, instead of enjoying that beach that the cigarette companies promise you.

Smoking Cessation HypnosisOnce and a while I’ll see a client that I haven’t seen for a long time. When I ask them how their smoking issue is coming along, surprisingly many times they tell me that their cravings are so diminished that they actually forget to smoke. Often after just the first two sessions my clients come back for their next session saying that it is so much easier to be smoke free, than they suspected.

Hypnosis can help smokers quit by addressing the problem at a subconscious level. You can re-frame your thinking so that you no longer crave cigarettes. In fact, hypnotic suggestions can make cigarettes completely undesirable. Instead of wanting them, you will want to avoid them.

Smoking is like a best friend to those who smoke, it is always there, always available when you need it. Isn’t it interesting that after 30 years of a daily habit that one day you could just stop it, just like that. It amazed me too when I just started my practice!

My feeling is that people are afraid to be without their best friend, they have depended on them for so many years, many since their teen age years when friends are so important. They are not sure they can live without them. It takes some “change work” in their minds, but very quickly they realize that cigarettes were not their friend at all in fact just the opposite. Clients also tell me that it is a way for them to take a break from their day, a way to connect with other smokers on their lunch break. It makes them instantly part of a club. Maybe there is the fear of changing your friends and the places you are used to going, although there is hardly anywhere that you can go and smoke these days.

When I ask people what they really like about smoking it seems those were the two responses I get most. I guess it is important to think about that a little. Are you are depending on a best friend that really isn’t a best friend at all. A friend that won’t be there for you in the hospital to hold your hand or comfort you when you really need them? If it’s a break you need why not just go outside and breathe! Take 3 long deep breaths and remind yourself, when you are doing it, why you are quitting smoking. I have many breathing techniques that I teach my clients, to replace that break with cigarettes that they think they need. Just take your break like you normally would but call it a breathing break instead of a smoking break. We all need a break. We don’t need to fill our lungs with smoke and poisons, just to take a break. Think about it!
