Exercise Motivation - Hypnotherapy Audio DownloadEach morning we wake up to our daily life. Most of our activities are on automatic pilot, such as brushing your teeth or eating breakfast. Automatic pilot is a trance state that can be very useful for what is considered the habitual activities of life & exercise needs to be one of these.

Our bodies need to exercise, it has been medically proven that we are emotionally more stable, physically more healthy and mentally far more alert if we do. The ideal solution is to review your lifestyle and attitude. Look for ways you can incorporate exercise as part of your everyday life. Use the stairs instead of the elevator, walk when you can, look for opportunities and interests that involve physical exercise. The important thing is that whatever you do, it is easily adapted into your life. Take some time each day just for yourself, and exercise during this time, even if it’s just a 15 min. walk around the neighborhood.

When you start to talk yourself out of exercising, a negative affirmation is being repeated in your mind. An affirmation that says “I can’t do it, I don’t have time.” So if a negative affirmation works, why can’t a positive one? Repeating an affirmation in your mind will remind you of your desire to be healthier and help you become more consciously and subconsciously aware of your healthy lifestyle goals. Strive to repeat healthy lifestyle affirmations to yourself several times each day. Because affirmations actually reprogram patterns and they change the way you think and feel about things.

Tell yourself positive affirmations like:

“The more often I choose to exercise, the better I’ll feel, both physically and mentally.”

“ I really enjoy the exercise program I have chosen for myself.”

“ I have enough time in my day to do my exercise program because it is important to me.”

Visualize yourself getting “In the Zone” whether that means putting on your exercise outfit or turning on some aerobic music you like that makes you want to move.

Black Eyed Peas, Fergie Conquers her Drug Addiction through Hypnosis

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Addiction Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy | Posted on 03-06-2011-05-2008

Drug Addiction, Drug Treatment, Drug AbuseStacy Ferguson, better known as Fergie is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, fashion designer and actress as well as the lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas. Previously she had performed with a female trio called Wild Orchid. While performing with Wild Orchid, Ferguson developed an addiction to crystal methamphetamine which followed her after she left the group in 2001.

Ferguson felt that her addiction to drugs had a lot to do with being a child actor and having learned to suppress her feelings at an early age. When she was 17 she found fame through the Wild Orchids. But when the band tanked, she turned to Ecstasy and eventually crystal meth. She has admitted that as a teenager, she became addicted to illegal drugs in an attempt to escape her troubles. She loved Ecstasy and found her outlet in the underground club scene and raves.

Fergie has been clean for more than ten years, but is only now revealing that her pre-fame drug addiction left her paranoid and delusional. Unlike other drugs, methamphetamine’s can directly cause a permanent psychosis, the technical term for a delusion or a hallucination. The paranoid delusions of a drug user and the experience of a person with mental health issues barely differ.

Fergie said “I had about 20 different conspiracy theories. I painted the windows in my apartment black so they couldn’t see in,” she thought the FBI was after her during her brief addiction to methamphetamine’s around 2001.

She was down to 90 lbs. and was doing meth day and night and had run out of money. she said. “I was hearing voices. I thought people were after me. I wasn’t talking to any of my friends or family.” She said “It ruins you and it’s important to talk about it because it’s a very, very hard thing to stop.”

Ferguson has stated in several interviews that she enlisted the help of a hypnotherapist to help her overcome her crystal meth addiction and to relax. She is an avid user of hypnotherapy and now she admits that she only indulges in a glass of wine here and there.

Maybe you had an injury that required a prescription painkiller, or maybe a friend convinced you to try cocaine or crystal meth “just once” for fun. You may have wanted to fit in so much with your friends, that you gave in and tried it, thinking you would have the power to say no the next time. But then you tried it just once more and one more time after that and before you knew it, you were an addict .Now you’re faced with a very real problem. How do you free yourself from this addiction before it ruins your life? You know it will but you don’t know where to turn.   Perhaps you have watched others lose their physical well being and perhaps even die and you are now realizing that this could happen to you! You know it is time to stop and you want to, what do you do?

Fergie had to make a decision just as you do if you are reading this and know that drugs are a problem for you. You can choose to be free from drugs and you can do it easily and comfortably through hypnosis. Hypnosis may not be the only treatment you need but it certainly will help make the process easier and by using our drug addiction hypnosis MP3 and our anxiety and Stress management MP3 or some of the other MP3 downloads on this site you can be well on your way to more self respect and a positive attitude towards life!

Memorial Day brings up Grief

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Depression Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy | Posted on 01-06-2011-05-2008

Memorial Day, Grief and Loss, Lose of a loved one to war, How to recover from the loss of a loved oneIt doesn’t take Memorial Day to bring up grief and loss for someone who has lost a loved one. The loss of a loved one is the most difficult thing most people ever experience. It is extremely painful to be left with the void and emptiness that was once filled with a loving relationship.  Memorial Day certainly brings it to the forefront and others may remember your loss on that day and perhaps give you a call, but for one who is grieving it is a process that takes on a life of its own. Healing happens gradually; it can’t be forced or hurried and there is no “normal” timetable for grieving. Everyone grieves differently, grieving is a personal and highly individual experience.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve but there are healthy ways to cope with the pain. You can get through it! Writing all your feelings in a journal, can be extremely helpful to just let it all out! Keep a journal by your bed and write at night before you go to sleep, just let your mind go and write whatever you are hearing in your head without censoring or judging. It is called stream of consciousness writing and it can be very cathartic. Write a letter to your loved one as if they will be able to receive it. Tell them about what has been going on in your life, feel their presence. Listen for their voice and imagine what they would say. Allow yourself to feel a comfort in knowing that, they are just on the other side of the veil that we cannot see, draw on your faith at this time. It’s ok to tell them everything you are feeling, as you are feeling so many mixed emotions and it is good for you to let these emotions out on paper. If you are angry at them for leaving you or angry at yourself for not doing or saying more; write it all down. Write about your loneliness and deep sadness, you can write anything you want now that perhaps you couldn’t tell them before. This is part of the healing process that will eventually help you to find peace and acceptance.

Perhaps even try your hand at poetry, remembering the wonderful things about your loved one. After my mother died I wrote quite a bit of poetry, it felt as if it were just being channeled through me. I was amazed at what I wrote!

The emotions you experience can range from anger and anxiety to sadness, emptiness, denial and fear.

There are five stages of grief:

  • Denial- when you say, “This can’t be happening to me.”
  • Anger-Why is this happening? Who is to blame?”
  • Bargaining-“Make this not happen, and in return I will do anything”
  • Depression- “I’m too sad to do anything.”
  • And finally Acceptance-you are at peace with what happened.

You do not have to go through each stage in order to heal. You don’t need to experience them in an exact, sequential order, so don’t worry about what you “should” be feeling or which stage you’re “supposed” to be in. There will be ups and downs.

The single most important factor in healing from loss is having the support of other people. Sharing your loss makes the burden of grief easier to carry. Wherever the support comes from, accept it and do not grieve alone. Connecting to others will help you heal.

When you’re grieving, it’s more important than ever to take care of yourself. The stress of a major loss can quickly deplete your energy and emotional reserves. Looking after your physical and emotional needs will help you get through this difficult time.

You will begin to accept what has happened and know that there is a greater purpose in the world and a reason for everything. Freedom from grief comes when you accept those things in your life that you have no power to change.

Whatever your grief experience, it’s important to be patient with yourself and allow the process to unfold naturally. It may seem like this is impossible and that life will never feel good again, but this is not the case. It is possible for your loved one to live on in your heart and your memories, and you can heal from grief and begin to live life more fully again.  Listening to this hypnotherapy MP3 can be extremely helpful at a time when you feel like you need support but just don’t have the energy to even get out of bed.

Can Tornados Cause Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)?

How to Survive a Tornado

There are so many people now being displaced because of earthquakes, floods and now all the tornadoes!  Post traumatic stress was only thought to be a phenomenon among soldiers returning from war, but it can also occur for people who have other types of traumatic experiences. The symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder include extreme anxiety that does not go away, being “jumpy” or easily startled, nightmares, flashbacks and other anxiety-related symptoms that interfere with everyday life.  If you have lost everything you own, family members, friends and even the town you lived in, this is an overwhelming experience for those people who are living this reality right now.  People in Joplin, Missouri are in shock and just trying to find loved ones at the moment. They are in survival mode and for some maybe the extent of the devastation hasn’t even sunk in yet. It may be years before they recover if ever. It is when things settle down that people who have lived through a devastating experience like this will need to seek help. One thing someone can do after a natural disaster, when they remember the event, feel jumpy or notice their anxiety and stress levels rising is hypnotherapy. Managing your symptoms is important because the longer you suffer with the symptoms, the worse they will get and the harder they will be to manage. Maybe you have tried treatments for anxiety like counseling or medication, but you still feel a gnawing anxiety or even outright fear much of the time.

Hypnosis can address the root cause of your symptoms by helping you to deal with the trauma you experienced at a subconscious level.  You can change the perception that you are in danger all of the time and recognize that your symptoms are a result of the shock and stress of the trauma you suffered. That trauma is in the past and is no longer a threat to you. It can help you to manage the symptoms of PTSD at the subconscious level, help you feel safer in the world and teach you to access a feeling of peace and inner calm.

Top ten hypnosis myths and misconceptions

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Hypnotherapy | Posted on 12-04-2011-05-2008

1

“A person can be hypnotized against their will.”

Most stage hypnotists are skilled at creating the illusion that they possess a magical and mysterious power over other people.  There is, in fact, no such “power.” Stage hypnosis is a show and they are there to entertain, so suggesting you do silly things is what makes the show. Hypnosis is a state of consent and cooperation. The only control the hypnotist has over you is the control you allow her to have. You can come out of it anytime on your own if you want to. Public exhibitions by stage hypnotists and in the entertainment and media industries have contributed to wide misunderstanding of the true nature of hypnosis. Hypnotherapy is a professional partnership between the hypnotherapist and the client. A person cannot be hypnotized unless he or she agrees and co-operates. Stage hypnosis is very different. It is a form of entertainment and has nothing to do with hypnotherapy. A person who is hypnotized can only be persuaded to take an action that they would also be willing to do when they were in a normal state. You cannot be made to do anything against your will, or against your moral code.

“A person under hypnosis is asleep or unconscious.”

A person under hypnosis is in a very relaxed state and is both aware of their conscience mind and subconscious mind at the same time. This is probably the most common misconception about hypnosis.  You never lose your full sense of awareness or fall asleep in hypnosis. You are actually in a state of more focused concentration and because of this heightened state you are in a more receptive state to receive the suggestions that are given to you. It’s most likely you will enjoy a feeling of deep calmness and relaxation.

“A person doesn’t remember anything that happens while under hypnosis.”

You will be aware of everything during hypnosis although there may be times when you sink a little deeper and have a dreamlike feeling. You will go in and out of lighter and deeper states and that is natural and expected. What you will see while in a trance state will be very visual and enjoyable. You go in and out of trance many times a day, such as driving. Whenever you do anything automatic, your conscious mind is diverted from your subconscious and you are more likely to go into a hypnotic state. Other examples of automatic states are when you are taking a shower, deeply engrossed in a project or watching a great movie, jogging or perhaps eating alone. A hypnotist helps you to enter this receptive state purposefully, and then uses the state to impress suggestions and imagery on your mind.

“A person surrenders their will once they go under hypnosis, and can be made to do things he or she does not want to do. “

First of all if you are seeing a Hypnotherapist and not a magician you are there to work on your personal issues and not on stage to do some magic for an audience. You will be in a nice quiet office just you and your therapist. Your therapist will answer any questions you have while he or she is doing their interview. The process will be explained to you and you are totally capable of making normal sane decisions while doing your hypnosis.

“Not everyone can be hypnotized.”

It is rare that I ever find a client who cannot be hypnotized. Once they ask their questions, we talk about any fears they may have and we gain rapport then it is just a matter of the person allowing themselves to enter a deep state of relaxation. Once the client understands that they are not surrendering their will to anyone else and that they are in complete control, people go into it easily and find it a very enjoyable experience!

“Who are the best subjects?”

Suggestibility – the capacity for impressions to imprint upon your subconscious mind – is open to anyone and can be learned! If someone quells their fears in the first session then they are able to relax as deeply as any other. “Studies suggest that people of above average intelligence who are capable of concentrating and who have a capacity for creativity and vivid imagination usually make the best subjects.”

“A person under hypnosis reveal his or her deepest secrets.”

You don’t lose control or reveal personal secrets under hypnosis unless you wish to do so. When in therapy, which hypnosis is, it may be important to allow yourself the vulnerability to share some of your secrets with a caring therapist so that they may be brought out into the open and worked on. There is always confidentiality between client and therapist.

“Hypnosis can be used to accurately recall everything that has happened to you”

Hypnosis can help you to recall past memories. It can be very effective in doing “Inner Child Work” This work is designed to experience the initial trauma only briefly and then the change work is done around it to make the positive changes for healing! It is very beautiful and sensitive work!

“A person can get stuck in a trance forever.”

Hypnosis is a natural state that we enter and exit all of the time. As mentioned above. No one has ever been stuck in a hypnotic trance, it is impossible. There are no known dangers with hypnosis when working with a normal patient.

“Hypnosis is contrary to religion?”

Not at all! A good therapist will work with you within your religious beliefs. You can explain your beliefs to your therapist and they will be sure to integrate what you believe in without placing any of their own beliefs on you. Hypnosis is not a surrender of the will at all. It is a creative process between 2 people; a therapist and a client, to find a way to help you in your healing process. The more you let go the more successful you will be at talking to your own subconscious mind and finding your own true answers!

Adolescent Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Symptoms

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Anxiety and Stress Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy | Posted on 12-04-2011-05-2008

Adolescent Obsessive Compulsive Disorder SymptomsAs a parent you might wonder what the symptoms are for OCD in children.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by uncontrollable, unwanted thoughts and repetitive, ritualized behaviors one feels compelled to perform. They may recognize they are irrational but even so, they feel unable to resist them and break free. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) causes the brain to get stuck on a particular thought or urge. You might wash your hands over and over not knowing if they are really clean and you are just waiting for that feeling that tells you that they are ok. You could check the stove or the door over and over to make sure that it is off or locked. You may stand in front of the stove for an hour just staring at the knobs or touching them and checking them and continually doubting yourself that they are really off. You don’t want to have these thoughts and in fact, you know that they don’t make any sense. But you can’t stop them. These obsessive thoughts are usually disturbing and distracting and then compulsions are performed in an attempt to make the obsessions go away.

Many people have mild forms of OCD but it is when it takes over your life and causes you great stress that it is considered a disorder. It can take up a great deal of your day and symptoms get worse in times of stress.

The main categories are:

  • Washers are afraid of contamination. They usually have cleaning or hand-washing compulsions.
  • Hoarders fear that something awful will happen if they throw anything away. They compulsively hoard things that they don’t use or need.
  • Checkers Continually checking things like stoves and locks to make sure they are turned off or locked. They associate this with harm of danger.
  • Sinners & Doubters are afraid that if everything isn’t perfect or done just right something terrible will happen or they will be punished.
  • Counters & arrangers are obsessed with order & symmetry. They may have superstitions about certain numbers, colors, or arrangements.

A person with OCD can have one or more of these obsessions and the problem is that the relief they get from a compulsion never lasts and can come back stronger.

You may notice your child washing their hands a lot or being excessively afraid of getting dirty. They may ask you questions over and over and seem afraid that they might hurt someone by some action that they do. They might want everything extremely neat or things lined up in perfect order. They may have excessive focus on religious or moral ideas. They may count things or have lucky and unlucky numbers. They may tap or repeat certain words over and over. They may accumulate junk or continue to check on loved ones to make sure they are safe.

These are all signs that your child is suffering and may have OCD. They should not be made fun of or scolded for such behavior as it is not their fault. There is a switch in the brain that is not working properly; kind of like a “brain hiccup.” This is an anxiety disorder and the sooner you get it treated the better chance you have of it going away completely.

If you notice these behaviors in your child then it is wise to get help. There are many effective treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), ranging from therapy to self-help and medication. However, the treatment for OCD with the most research supporting its effectiveness is cognitive-behavioral therapy.

There are two parts to this:

  • Cognitive therapy
  • Exposure and response prevention

Even though these are the main treatments suggested for OCD, hypnosis can also be very effective in that it gets the person very relaxed and can help ease the feelings of fear and panic. It can help a person with OCD to reprogram their behaviors. It is a natural drug free solution to Obsessive Compulsive behavior.

The MP3 download should be listened to every night for 3 weeks for best results. Click here for more info.

It is not easy to watch your child going through these rituals. Just know that what they are doing is trying to make themselves feel safe in some way even if it doesn’t make any sense to you. To them it does! It is important to talk to them about it and get them help!

Stress Anxiety Management Techniques

Stress Anxiety Management TechniquesEven though relaxation is a natural state, you might be surprised how difficult this can be for people to do.  We tend to get in the habit of endless thinking, worrying, stressing and planning. In today’s hectic world people don’t seem to take the time to just sit quietly for a few moments or to just breathe. Conscious breathing can make all the difference when it comes to reducing stress levels. Slow breathing lets the body know that it is time to relax!

Stress and anxiety are a part of our modern life but there are things you can do even in the midst of a busy work day!

First of all…………………

Breathe!!!…… Breathing is the most important thing, but not just any breathing.

Place your hands on your belly and begin to breathe from the abdomen. In and out through the belly, as you inhale let the belly balloon up and as you exhale let it sink down. Keep the breath in the belly. This is called abdominal breathing.

Ujjayi Breathing: ……Continue breathing with the belly but now add the “sounding breath” or in the ancient yogic tradition called Ujjayi breathing, making a sound in the back of the throat as if you had nostrils in the back of your throat. The “sounding breath” is created by moving the glottis (in the back of the throat) as air passes in and out. The throat passage is narrowed and the airway where the passage of air comes through creates a gentle snoring sound. The length and speed of the breath is controlled by the diaphragm. This strengthening is, partially the purpose of ujjayi as well as being tremendously relaxing and calming.

Hypnosis Relaxation MP3’s or CD’s: …… Hypnosis allows you to enter a state of deep relaxation which in itself is a very useful therapy for lowering stress. It also allows you to become calm and focused, so you can concentrate on solving your problems. Hypnosis is a state in which the conscious mind is temporarily suspended or distracted and in which all parts of the mind work in harmony for your highest good. Hypnosis MP3’s or CD’s can be very useful in helping one to relax.

Try this Deep Relaxation MP3 which is free right now! It will put you into a blissful state!

What’s worse anxiety or depression

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Anxiety and Stress Hypnotherapy, Depression Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy | Posted on 19-03-2011-05-2008

Whats worse anxiety or depressionWith anxiety and depression so prevalent in our society it is hard to say which is worse.

Anxiety can create feelings of fear, worry, uneasiness and dread. The worry often is unrealistic or out of proportion for the situation. Daily life becomes a constant state of worry, fear, and dread. Eventually, the anxiety so dominates the person’s thinking that it interferes with daily functioning, including work, school, social activities, and relationships.

Depression may be described as feeling sad, blue, unhappy, miserable, or down in the dumps. Most of us feel this way at one time or another for short periods. True clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with everyday life for a long period of time. The exact cause of depression is not known. Many researchers believe it is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain, which may be hereditary or caused by events in a person’s life. Some types of depression seem to run in families, but depression can also occur in people who have no family history of the illness. Stressful life changes or events can trigger depression in some people. Usually, a combination of factors is involved.

If you had to choose one I suppose it would be very difficult to decide which one to have. A good deal of the time they are interconnected and a person may have a little of both.

I guess I would say it is about equal, both cause a great deal of pain. The question is how can we be free of both of these feelings and move on to a feeling of freedom and joy? To become free we have to start from within. We have to go to a place of stillness. I think we tend to forget that we have that within us when the entire world is spinning around us so fast. There is so much to get caught up in. We are bombarded with TV, internet, social media and more! How many people really spend a little time each day just sitting, whether it be meditating, listening to relaxation MP3’s or just contemplating but sitting and being quiet?

We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and meditate! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused. A simple ten or fifteen minute breathing meditation can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance.
Meditation can also help you to understand your own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy.

“The power for happiness, for good, for everything we need of life is within each one of us. The power is there- unlimited power.” Robert Collier

Radiation Exposure, Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami, High Unemployment, Unrest in the Middle East. How can I relax!?

If you are liStress Relief - Hypnosis MP3ke most people in our society today, you will find anxiety plays a large part in your daily life. Our lives move too quick too much stress, too complicated and too many balls to balance in the air at one time. It seems when I ask people how they are, I hear “exhausted” “depressed” a lot of times. I suppose it makes us want to go back to the days when life was easier, but when would that be because as human beings we have always had to endure the difficulties and stresses of life. Sure some times have definitely been better than others, but the bad news is we can’t go back. So what is to be done?

After living through the recession over the past several years and experiencing it more than I wanted, I have tried to stay up to date with what is going on in the world. I find now that during this last weeks news over the situation in Japan and the Middle East my stress levels at very high. People can only take so much before they need to retreat into themselves and find solace there.

But then you might say when fear and negative self talk are circling around in you brain how can you stop it? Good question! But I found an answer for me these last few days that seems to work miracles. Since what I have on hand of course are my own MP3 downloads I started listening to my new “Deep Relaxation” (recorded by Asheida)  when I’m feeling extra tense and stressed. Just to recover from watching the ongoing news of horrific sadness, disaster and fear!

I am watching less news right now and doing even more relaxation. I have to say even though it is my own product ……………………IT IS FABULOUS!!! It’s just 35 minutes out of my day, and a great solution for when I start to go crazy with everything going on. Of course the other choice is to send my husband and the TV out on the back porch, lock the door and just play soft music, light some candles and forget that anything is going on! Yes these are options but in all seriousness “Deep Relaxation” does just what I want it to; it calms me down, relaxes my body and then my mind and takes me to the beach where I really would like to be! The ocean waves and sounds of seagulls intertwined with incredibly relaxing soft music and Asheida’s Voice which is like an angel guiding me through the visuals makes me feel as if I am really there. I think it must be time for me to listen again. I hope you do it too. We will get through these hard times! This too shall pass! In the meantime you can go to this link and download it for free! Claustrophobia Treatment Through Hypnosis

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Hypnotherapy, Phobias and Fears Hypnotherapy | Posted on 10-02-2011-05-2008

claustrophobia treatmentClaustrophobia is one of many phobias that make sufferers custom tailor their lives to avoid situations that cause them to experience the symptoms of an irrational fear. Although claustrophobia is simply defined as the fear of closed spaces, it can be manifested in many different ways: in crowds, in elevators or airplanes, and in extreme cases even in places that are unknown or unfamiliar to the sufferer. Like all fears, the threat is perceived as real whether it is real or not, and the body responds in a classic fight or flight autonomic nervous system response.

In 1991, a young slightly overweight man with an injured back was stuck in an MRI machine, in a vault at the University of Florida Hospital new MRI research facility, in Tampa Florida. In those days, the lined vault was to reduce the sounds of the magnets and keep the magnetic energy confined to one area. Let me quote him: “And, there I was, being scanned for injured disks, except, I was overweight, and I got stuck in the MRI, and in my fear, I was transported to another place and time, where I was buried alive. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t scratch my way out. I panicked. I couldn’t get out.” This is a common complaint of those with claustrophobia in unknown places.

This type of claustrophobic experience can be treated very successfully with hypnosis because hypnosis has no negative side effects, it’s not invasive, and is proven to be safe.  The primary focus of hypnosis for phobias is helping the sufferer become relaxed and safely release the anxiety that has caused them to be afraid and help them to adapt to be able to live a happier life without any form of experiencing that fear.

Anxiousness often creates the body’s first symptoms that make people feel really uncomfortable and filled with unjustifiable fears. Learning to relax your mind and body to relieve that anxiety puts the body and mind in a position to learn, entrain, and live with new improved ways of responding to fear-based stimuli. It is when you are completely relaxed, in a hypnotic state, that you can successfully release those fears forever.

One successful process of hypnosis that can be used for claustrophobics is disassociating negative thoughts from specific situations.  The trigger situation is more easily addressed and desensitized while the subject is in a hypnotic state and transformative ideas and images can be progressively added to the mix, and new memory associations can be stored in the subconscious causing a different reaction. In this way, the desensitization and removal of the impact of phobias, after only one hypnosis session, is often the normal when working with those who’ve experienced claustrophobia.

Be more sociable

Be more sociableSocial Anxiety is a challenge that greater numbers of people are suffering from each year and never do realize it.

Experiencing fear of social situations can range from mild nervousness that is barely noticeable to a completely paralyzing fear that prevents sufferers from enjoying happy and healthy lives, even if living with their friends and family.  In extreme cases, social anxiety can snowball into a disorder that keeps people trapped in their own homes all because of their fear, which is purely a deep emotional need to avoid talking to people they don’t know or trust. No matter if it’s a big or small fear, it causes people to avoid social situations, often making them miss out on opportunities for friendship and love.

Many reasons exist as to why people become anxiety ridden in social situations, whether they are big or small. But in the analysis most of the paranoia stems from a fear of being embarrassed while in public. It also can be related to an obsession with having to make a good impression on those they come into contact with.  In these situations, the body reacts to social anxiety in the same way that it reacts to any other fear; the heart speeds up, the blood vessels dilate, and the body may start to sweat. All of these nervous system reactions are those of the fight or flight response which occur when the brain sends out the very first signal; I AM AFRAID. It’s a stress anxiety disorder that’s easily treated.

Hypnosis can help with social anxiety starting at the core of the problem. By using hypnosis your brain can relearn a more positive way to react to social situations that once used to cause you anxiety. Instead of having to block fear based thoughts before they start and teaching the brain to cope with the symptoms. The experience gets transformed into one where you are in control and empowered.

Once you calm down your body, becoming a more social and sociable person is as easy as a few minutes a day of relaxing thought and focus. Using a self-hypnosis is the process where you’ll walk yourself through the steps and healthier social relationships, and self-confidence automatically an integral part of your life – and you are confident and dynamic — no matter how many people are in the room. Here’s how to make it work for you – starting this very moment: http://journeysinwardhypnotherapy.com/mp3/confidence-issues/more-sociable-mp3

How Can I Reduce My Appetite?

How Can I Reduce My AppetiteWhen trying to lose weight, one of the challenges that dieters often face is their own appetites. When dieting, inevitably appetite can only increase, because the lack of food in your diet will increase your appetite. Then, when you are off your diet, the increased appetite remains, and you overeat, leading you to re-gain even more weight than you had before you began the cycle of the diet ritual.

Hunger is the driving force for this common cycle. Hunger fuels this most powerful and motivating instinct humans and other animals experience. Our minds are wired in such a way that if we are hungry, hunger can overcome any other thought, emotion, or desire. Hunger is the signal for our most basic need for survival – food.

With dieting, the big challenge we face is often the timing of our appetite and its frequency. Because we are getting signals from our bodies indicating that it’s hungry does not mean it really needs food, or it is the right time to be eating. Signals of hunger can be changed to fit your weight loss needs through hypnosis.

Appetite is a cycle of behavior. We all grow accustomed to eating at specific times each day and at a certain frequency. Thus, our human bodies remind us with pangs of hunger should we miss out on or come really close to those eating times.

You can reset your internal clock and change your own feeding schedule with the use of a hypnosis mp3. It’s as simple as targeting access to the subconscious (which is like the internal machinery for dictating behavior and hence our appetite), and reprogramming it to eat at different times, reprogramming it to have reduced hunger and appetite, and many other positive suggestions, which help you lose weight and keep it off.

Through just a few simple hypnosis mp3 sessions, you’ll re-train your mind to be less hungry and also schedule your body to eat smaller portions and eat less frequently. The results are amazing and have been proven to demonstrate that you can reach your ideal weight in a matter of weeks rather than be stuck yo-yo dieting. To reduce your appetite, just click here:

Why am i having trouble sleeping at night?

Why am i having trouble sleeping at nightToday it seems that everyone looks so exhausted, and many never seem to get quite enough sleep. We all know that we need at least six hours of sleep to feel good. Some people believe in the 888 theory of eight hours sleep, eight hours work, eight hours relaxing fun – but realistically, what planet do you live on? We need and deserve sleep and rest, but too many of us spend our days chained to the job. Then, we spend all night worrying if those chains are going to hold or break, or if we’re going to have to find a new ball and chain job soon and remain exhausted all the time.

Vacations seem to help temporarily for a week or two, until you get to the airport to fly home again. And luckily some people have perfected the art of the power nap. But for most of us, it’s almost impossible to try to sleep in the middle of the day (and all too often impossible to sleep well at night). It’s just so difficult to get back into the swing of things when we wake up half exhausted in the morning, and when we worry about things, and it’s hard to get anything going positively when we feel like the walking dead.

Didn’t you know that by using self hypnosis mp3’s you can – virtually automatically – get that much needed rest by achieving a level of deep restorative sleep easier and faster than you ever thought possible? It’s easy to train your brain to shut off all the extra noise and immediately fall into a deep level of sleep that allows your entire body and mind to rejuvenate while giving you the ability to wake up feeling totally refreshed and ready to take on the day.

If you are the kind of person who can’t find the shut off switch for your brain to get to sleep at night, or you’re the type of person who falls asleep the moment your head hits the pillow, but you don’t feel rested when you do awaken, listen up. You don’t have to feel tired any more. Hypnosis can help you shut down, recharge, and increase your performance energy levels.

Self hypnosis will take you through those steps that entrain your brain to serve your need to sleep best, and you need to awaken feeling refreshed – fresh as a daisy.  Using self-hypnosis, you can reset your internal clock so that whenever you need to get a power nap you are recharged for  30, 20 or even 10 minutes of needed rejuvenating sleep at any time you need.

Then, you can keep going a optimum performance level without ever burning out. Imagine waking up exactly when you want to, feeling refreshed and ready to go! You can do it by training your brain with hypnosis.

Try our “Jump out of Bed” hypnosis MP3 tonight and wake up fresh and alert tomorrow.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HYPNOTHERAPIST

Guest blogger: Dr. Jay Polmar

It was just another Sunday, or really it wasn’t, after all the World Series was on, it was 1982, the St. Louis Cardinals against the Milwaukee Brewers, and I could use the day off, after all working with patients six days a week – at least back in ’82. We could call them patients. I had been a doctor, a Ph.D – with a specialty in hypnotherapy research, for two whole years already. I had been studying for almost 18 years, and I knew the field well – but what could I do with it, other than some habit control that was soon to be tested.

So, as I sat with my Grape Juice, in front of the TV waiting for the first pitch, a knock on the door, and I recognized, Deana McNatt from a consulting position I took, with her mother – at the door. Now, Deana and I didn’t always see eye to eye, but she was there on a mission. Drag Jay back to Lovelace Hospital, in due haste.

What’s going on? “My baby sister is in the hospital and is having a baby, and she is demanding you be there.” Deana’s baby sister was truly a baby herself. She was 15 years old, a high school sophomore, athletic and strong, and about to bring her own baby into the world. Deana’s mom was not happy about having a strange man help deliver her baby’s baby, her grandchild.

But, why not go and help? It was a government hospital, Sandia National Labs and an Air Force base nearby – what’s the worst they could do to me, throw me in the brig? There was a young girl, in trouble J, who needed my help – and I got to see how the hospital worked from the inside out.

There I was, a birthing room with all the craziness of the sisters, 2 of them, trying to be present when the birth took place … “Well, if Dr. Jay can be here, why can’t I – they cackled?” And, then, I said to Mrs. McNatt, we need peace – and all the girls were pushed out. Then, the young husband to be comes in “I want to be here” – and his future mother-in-law, pushes him out. Finally, it was me and the grandma to be, and a midwife nurse pops in. “I hear you’re going to do hypnosis. I always wanted to watch this”.  This was going to be a fun session.

“So, Shawna, now close your eyes, and relax – breathe deeply, and relax every part of you from your toes to your head”. And I continued for 45 minutes and the midwife, sat at the end of the bed, looking into Shawna’s womb, as if she was a catcher at the World Series ready to catch the pitch.

At each contraction was a suggestion for releasing the muscles’ tension and each push was a pleasure. No labor pains, but delivery was a pleasure. And slowly but surely out came the cutest little cone head baby I had ever seen.

As grandma and I smiled, the midwife cleaned up the after birth, I washed up, and walked out of the hospital, and went home, happy that I had once again come to help someone in need.

And when I went to the supermarket, I was amazed even a year later. That women would walk up to me and say – I remember you. You are that hypnosis doctor who delivered that baby at Lovelace Hospital, aren’t you?

Sometimes, I just think: Life Is Good!

Tired – Try A Power Nap

Tap A Power NapWe all have our own concept of the perfect power nap; after we’ve mowed the lawn, in the office at 2:30 with the door closed, in the parking lot at the supermarket while the spouse does the shopping. We even joke about the power nap, but taking a break to rest and rejuvenate your brain is more beneficial than you can imagine.

Sometimes all it takes is just 15 minutes rest to help stress and worry reach the exit door. Your brain can revitalize and you can be ready to conquer all challenges and everything on your ‘to do’ list without being worn out or making mistakes. It is the perfect solution to the “I just can’t get it done” problem.

By using a power nap hypnosis mp3 you will be training your brain to ‘go off line’ on demand. It really does work amazingly well. The short hypnosis mp3 takes you through relaxation and helps you shut down your brain. Just like turning off the lights. Each time you listen it will get easier and easier to turn off the sounds in your head and let your brain go offline for a much needed rest. You can do this anywhere you can be comfortable and undisturbed.

Listening to a power nap hypnosis mp3 allows you to let go of everything except for those suggestions that you hear. Your brain responds to these suggestions and you get a rejuvenating nap. The best part of this is that you do not have to do any of the ‘thinking’ yourself. You listen to a series of suggestions and your brain goes where it is supposed to go ‘sleep’. The hypnosis program will also wake you up at the end of the approximately 30 minute recording! That way you’ll never oversleep or miss an important meeting or phone call. The power nap will change the way you look at work and convince you that hypnosis can be a powerful tool that will improve your focus and drive for greater successes in your life.

Take a power nap any time you want with our “Power Nap MP3″

Need help keeping your New Year’s Resolutions

New Years HypnosisHappy New Year Everyone! Well the holidays are over and you may find that you are settling down a bit and thinking of yourself a little. Maybe you are thinking it’s time to deal with those issues that nag at you year after year. You made your New Year’s Resolution but are you going to do anything about it? Have you thought of using Hypnotherapy to address some of your issues?

What is it that you really want to change this year? Is it just a thought in your head that you would like to loose weight or stop smoking? Do you think about it a couple times a year and do nothing about it because you are too busy or it seems like too much work?

The first step is acknowledging that you would like to change and that is a good thing. The next step is finding a way to do something about it and that is where most of us give up. Maybe it isn’t just exercise motivation or stress management which many people associate with hypnosis. Maybe your relationship needs work or you are grieving a loved one. Perhaps you need advise on money management or you are depressed because of the economy and there seems to be no solution. Do you need to forgive someone or deal with a divorce? Have you ever thought that these problems could be addressed through hypnosis? You have thought about psychotherapy but it takes so long and is very expensive so it doesn’t seem to be an option for you especially in this economy.

So many issues can be helped with just simply listening to hypnotherapy recordings. www.journeysinward.com It seems so simple and it is in a way; the trick is that you need to be consistent and listen every day for 21 days. The results will be truly amazing! Napolean Hill said, “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve,”

Hypnotherapy works! Quite simply, hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation where your subconscious mind is more receptive to ideas and suggestions. I call it “Coached Meditation”. You have been in hypnotic states when you daydream or when you are driving and so focused on your thoughts that you miss your exit. We all experience that “miles away” feeling from time to time. The advantage of hypnosis is that you have that day dreamy feeling but you are being directed at the same time to focus on your goals in a very creative way. Hypnotic states are a wonderfully pleasant state of relaxation. Hypnosis is an effective, scientifically proven tool to help you reach your goals. Hypnosis is not a magical cure. It is simply a tool. An effective tool!

When we access the subconscious mind we find a whole internal world of support that we may not have known before. It is very creative and helps us to unleash our potential, change our unwanted habits and behaviors, and find solutions to our problems and concerns.

During the recordings you are led into a very deep relaxation with gentle background music and maybe the sound of ocean waves.

You are then led through a progressive muscle relaxation from head to toe. Once all your muscles are relaxed it is much easier to relax your mind. You will then be led to a beautiful scene that takes your mind on a journey to someplace very comforting and peaceful.

Once deeply relaxed, your subconscious mind will be receptive to change; you will be given a number of suggestions. One of the most powerful tools of the suggestion process is in “seeing” the outcome. You will see, sense or feel yourself as a person who “used to smoke” but does no longer, or you will experience yourself at the desired weight you wish to be. You will be led through a series of visualizations to help you anchor this new way of being, like: “You see yourself in the mirror wearing that dress you remember looking so slim and beautiful in and you can feel your body gliding across the dance floor so gracefully. You can hear others commenting on how fantastic you look and how did you do it?

You will then hear affirmations that are similar to these suggestions like, “I enjoy eating small meals 5 times a day or I love how I look and feel in those clothes I have been wanting to wear and now I can”. You will be given a post hypnotic suggestion to seal in the positive suggestions and then brought back to full waking consciousness feeling very relaxed and confident that you will follow these new suggestions.

It is great to be able to just download an MP3 and listen to the recording in the comfort of your home without having to go anywhere but to a comfortable place in you house, put some head phones on and everyday do a little work on yourself.

It is probably the most powerful way I know of accomplishing your goals in a very short period of time.

Conquer Alcohol Addiction

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Addiction Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy | Posted on 10-01-2011-05-2008

1

Stop Alcohol AbuseBeing addicted to Alcohol is something that most people do not recognize or acknowledge. However, there are some simple questions to ask yourself that will clue you in: 1. Do you have to have a drink every day, other than four oz. glass of red wine for your heart? 2. Do you crave a drink when you don’t have one?  3. Do you feel that you need it to make you feel better? 4. Does it already impact your health and your well-being?  5. Does it change your behavior?

Are you wondering about your answers? Do yourself a favor right now – You need to get a grip. Realize that you can feel great without alcohol consumption, and there is an easy way to limit your drinking while at the same time prevent backsliding (falling off the wagon).

Taking control of a drinking challenge can be easier when using hypnosis. It’s one of the most highly effective ways to address this challenge. Alcohol rehab facilities, with psychiatrists on staff, often implement hypnosis regimens to assist patients with reprogramming themselves to get a handle on their emotional instability while they work with fighting the addictive cravings.

Using hypnosis mp3’s allows anyone to overcome hurdles, and have breakthroughs by destroying the biggest obstacles that they bring to the table. Difficult cases have benefited from the use of hypnosis in rehabilitation programs because the focus can be put squarely on the symptoms and the emotional ones can be addressed as separate issues, as they indeed are.

Individuals have successfully used hypnosis mp3’s on their own to overcome alcoholism and the issues related to it.  Certainly, a great many people feel they have the endurance to use the mp3’s at home. In doing so, they can go on to live healthier lives. Physical and emotional improvement can be made through the use of hypnosis which circumvents the need to drink.  Often, people find that hypnosis creates the states of being they have really sought – when they drank, they hoped to have a certain calm, relaxed mind, no worries, and a light heart – but never achieved it. The majority of those using hypnosis reach those states naturally, and therefore, the need for alcohol disappears. Forget Your Troubles – Come On Get Happy

Depression Treatment HypnosisWe all know what it feels like to be worried, to have something or someone weighing down on your mind.  As well as the frustration of being unable to find a way to let it go or let them go.  There are often times when we’re struggling with our options and our need to find a way to move past the worry, so that we can really identify the source(s) of the issue.  We need the clear mind to work out the best solution for everyone concerned. It’s hard to get to that place where we are sufficiently detached from the negative emotions of the troubles in order that we can be able to do that. Unfortunately, worry can become all encompassing and can drive our lives in the wrong direction.

When troubles and worry take control, people can become totally paralyzed by it. Sometimes it is love, other times it’s finance, but when troubles and worries aren’t mastered, these problems related to someone we deeply love can become a compulsion, or an obsession. More than just worrying, letting trouble take control of our lives is a situation that can seem like we are drowning in fear and that our problems now define us.

The simple and effective solution is to reprogram the way you think about your problems. Instead of allowing them to pile up and hold you down you have another option of using hypnosis to refocus your thoughts and actions and effectively transform the problems to easy challenges, or even better, to opportunities for personal growth. With a mindset like that and hypnosis to guide your path to solutions intuitively coming to you –  it is easy to solve those problems and leave your troubles behind!

Hypnosis takes you step by step toward relaxation and on the way teaches you how to program your brain to react differently to everything you’ve struggled with. In a deep state of relaxation, your brain can hear and process information in a very different way. The benefits of hypnosis aren’t only relaxing or training your brain to release worries. It goes much further than that. Hypnosis can allow you to search the subconscious for catalogued ways of handling stress and process all of your troubles so that you can find solutions faster and more efficiently. Deep Relaxation - Free DownloadLiving with stress is common for most people in this day and age. We all have stress in our lives due to personal relationships and finances; we have stress related to our jobs and our children. And, boy do we get stressed just driving in traffic back and forth to work. The result of this commonplace environmental stress is that it piles up on us, and it builds to the point that we can’t tolerate it any more. Eventually we simply adapt to living such an enormous level of stress that we don’t even realize what the cumulative effects of stress on our physical bodies and our minds and emotions really are. Stress is a killer, if you let it, so … let me ask this – where is the high school course on managing life stress that everyone needs to learn?

Actively dealing with high levels of stress daily, and working diligently to counteract it, helps us to chip away at the effects of stress and keeps us feeling better and more centered. Living a high stress life with no attempt at stress relief will create side effects (otherwise called dis-ease) that we never expect and disease can certainly be devastating. In this case, it is important to learn to use the best stress relief techniques available to you to avoid getting ill. You can reverse the effects of stress but you need to learn how to reprogram your brain and your life to fully conquer to its effects.

A deep relaxation mp3 will assist you in reducing the stress in your life by using multiple senses at one time as hypnosis is used to reprogram your brain and re-educate your body on exactly how to relax and let go of all the stresses of your life. As you hear the hypnosis MP3, your thoughts will be guided through a deep relaxation exercise that helps you to enter a deeper state of relaxation despite the daily stress you now experience.

To Forgive Means Letting Go

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Hypnotherapy, Relationship Hypnotherapy | Posted on 01-01-2011-05-2008

4

Learn to ForgiveLetting go of your anger and forgiving someone who has hurt you is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. Holding on to resentment and hurt really just makes you feel bad. By not forgiving, by not moving on, you are refusing to let the bad feelings go away.  The worst thing about being unable to forgive is that the person you can’t forgive usually has no clue that they hurt you as much as you think they did. They forgot about the incident that caused you pain as soon as it happened. You have been letting it poison your life, and they could care less. Although the truth is they just didn’t know how bad it was for you.

Remember that forgiveness is all about you.  When you forgive you do not allow bad behavior, or the hurts you have endured, to be ok or acceptable behavior from others. In fact, you are only acknowledging that something bad has occurred. If you must, keep your distance from those people who continue you to hurt you, but allow forgiveness to release your bad feelings and the hurts that they have caused so that you can live a happier, healthier and fuller life.

Using hypnosis audio mp3’s to forgive is a great way to retrain your brain to let the bad feelings and hurts disappear and to place positive thoughts and feelings in its place. You can save relationships that are stressed and transform a negative attitude by filling your being with forgiveness. Why allow bitterness to ruin your friendships and relationships?  Hypnosis mp3’s utilized once a day can help to reprogram your thoughts and make forgiveness an easy and natural state of being. You owe it to yourself and to those you love. Forgiveness will open your mind and your heart to new possibilities and a positive, healthy future. If you want to accelerate the process of forgiving others, try this:  http://journeysinwardhypnotherapy.com/mp3/relationships/finding-forgiveness-mp3 and you might just find, it’s a lot easier to forgive yourself for choosing such difficult lessons of life to grow on.

Are You Down In The DERS? Depressive Eating Repetition Syndrome

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Eating Disorders Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy | Posted on 29-12-2010-05-2008

Emotional EatingWe all have times in our lives when we feel blue, alone, or empty in a way that we do not know how to fill. Eating repetitively when we are depressed is a common syndrome that many people face, especially around the holidays. The psychologists often label this as Seasonal Affective Disorder. Eating something that makes us feel good also makes us feel full and gives us satisfaction for a brief time. Unfortunately, it does not last.  Once we start the cycle of depressive eating, it is very easy to get caught in that repetitive loop where we eat to feel better and then find that we must continue to eat to keep our bad feelings from creeping back into our lives again.

During the stressful and emotional holiday events, depressive eating often gets the best of us. Many of us find ourselves starting the New Year with more than a few extra pounds left over from depressive eating around holiday time. And often that is too much to cope with and we find ourselves even more depressed and slipping into a permanent cycle of stress/depressive eating that leaves us overweight and unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t become a slave to repetitive depressive eating. You can learn to let go of this self-destructive habit.

Hypnosis for depressive eating repetition is especially effective because it helps you to change the programming that directs your habitual eating and eliminate the attitude that causes it in the first place. Use hypnosis to reprogram yourself to short circuit your impulse to eat when you feel sad or lonely. Effectively replace that impulse with a healthy and positive activity which might be exercise, walking, drinking water, swimming, aerobics, or just helping others. Hypnosis can help you transform your melancholy mood and depressive feelings a catalyst for change. Order you own mp3 and resolve that issue, starting today and transform your mind from depressive to expressively happy with your own self! Find out here:

Confidence with Women

Posted by journeysinward | Posted in Confidence Hypnotherapy, Hypnotherapy | Posted on 20-12-2010-05-2008

Confidence with womenSometimes it can be really tough getting out there and meeting women. You might see someone attractive across the room and really want to ask her out but you lack the confidence to do anything about it. You even make eye contact you and she smiles. You look at the floor, make some excuse to your guy friends and make your way out the nearest exit. Your palms are sweaty, you feel your heartbeat rapidly through your entire body and you feel that your heart is stuck in your throat. You might feel a little sick to your stomach, while at the same time kicking yourself that you lack confidence to be with women.

Women may even find you attractive, and you might even be dating, but it always ends the same way. You feel like you are not smart enough, not good looking enough, and not good enough for them. The result is that you can’t maintain a long lasting or meaningful relationship; and it’s all because of your weak self confidence around women. You find yourself sabotaging relationships and feel helpless when you are dating.

Logically you know that you have a lot to offer in a relationship with a woman, but emotionally you are a mess. When things seem to be going good you begin overanalyzing everything and coming up with reasons why you should end the relationship. It might defy logic but you have a tough time managing those thoughts and feelings.

The answer to improving your confidence is hypnosis mp3’s. You can program your mind in two important ways. First you can become relaxed when you are in a woman’s presence. You’ll no longer feel like running away or avoiding contact with them. Secondly, you can boost your confidence with women.

Women want a man who is confident. When you are confident women flock to you. The way you talk, act, and think will all be enhanced and you’ll have the confidence to ask a woman out and more importantly you’ll find that you’ll be able to maintain long term relationships because you have con-fidence in yourself and what you have to offer a woman. You’ll never be alone on a Saturday night again. Check out: http://journeysinwardhypnotherapy.com/mp3/men-issues/confidence-with-women-mp3

Hypnosis for Athletic EnhancementOver the past 20 years the field of sports psychology has grown and increasing numbers of teen athletes are being brought by their parents for hypnosis, to help their child focus and raise their performance level.

It’s no different than a pro having a personal trainer. The hard-to-break stereotype that hypnosis carries with it keeps people from finding out what a useful tool it can be. Hypnotherapy is a useful tool not only the typical issues that are associated with it like Smoking Cessation and Weight Loss but in helping athletes to become the best they can be at their sport. Visualization can be an extremely powerful tool and in a hypnosis session the client visualizes and practices in their mind doing their sport and various motor skills perfectly, until they feel more confident, able to overcome fear and experience lower anxiety levels. When the time comes to perform they have done the mental rehearsal in their mind so many times that they just go on auto pilot and the results are amazing! I have worked with many athletes and found that whether it is golf, skiing, or even dog sled racing, all athletes need to work on their anxiety levels, concentration, motivation, and self-confidence, as well as strengthening the neural patterns in the brain through mental rehearsal. There are so many factors to consider, stress levels, pressure, sleep patterns, mental attitude, diet, etc.

With my clients I include, yoga breathing techniques, power breathing, relaxation exercises, as well as I help to mitigate the effects of distracting psychological factors. After all the work is done I set a post hypnotic suggestion so that all they need to do is touch their shoulder or say a word and all the mental skills come back to them in an instant.

I have athletes calling me and saying that they won this race or that one and attributing it to the work we have done together. Its fun, I really enjoy this kind of work!

Confident Job InterviewSometimes thinking about interviews can be really nerve-racking. Of course, you want to do your best, but sometimes when you are nervous, really stressed, you just can’t be at your best. Quite often, that can mean not getting that job you really want. You might be up nights worrying about an upcoming interview and this means sleeplessness, and you can be worn-out and exhausted even before you sit down for the interview. That just doesn’t work.

You could be absolutely terrified at an interview. Your heart might be racing, and you could be so afraid they won’t like you, that you can’t get the right words out. You find that you freeze up when the interviewer asks you questions, and at times you might feel sick at your stomach or want to end the interview to run to the bathroom.

A cycle begins to occur in which you are worried about getting a job, and then because you are so stressed out you bomb on the interview and hence reinforce the idea that you are not going to get a job and that you are bad at job interviews.

You can overcome these negative states of mind and break the cycle of job interview stress. It is about shifting you minds focus and perspective. If you believe that you will succeed and you will do great at a job interview, then you will increase the likelihood that you will achieve your goal of being hired. If you continue to imagine that you will do horrible at a job interview then that is the reality that you will actually create.

Through the use of hypnosis mp3’s you can get rid of the job interview jitters forever. You can reprogram your mind to be relaxed and confident from the time you walk into the building for the interview, shake the interviewers hand and sit down, until the time you leave with the knowledge that you will get the job. Hypnosis is a fear eraser; you have to experience to totally appreciate it. http://journeysinwardhypnotherapy.com/mp3/personal-growth/confident-job-interview-mp3

Overweight and trying to lose weight? Is that one of your life challenges?

Hypnosis for Weight LossTired of being like a yoyo with your weight – up and down with the times?
L
earn to control your weight, lose weight by controlling your appetite.

Controlling the cravings that keep you overeating isn’t always easy, and with those cravings you might think it’s impossible to lose weight … but you would be wrong. Imagine what could happen if you could eliminate all cravings and eat only when you get body signals to feed the machine for its operation. Can you imagine that?

Cravings for food tend to be emotional and psychological and have little to do with physiological hunger to feed the body (your biochemical machine) to survive. Diet programs that control what, when, where you eat fail if you have cravings. Cravings win in the end because they require you to use willpower to stop them. And willpower doesn’t work.

You could simply reduce food intake, and stay on a controlled dietary intake program, you’d lose weight most certainly – with a plan that you like which has validity to it, and feeds your machine the nutrients it needs. If you like the program over a prolonged period – it will work for you because you’re psyched about it.

Watch out when you go off to the diet, you often will gain all the weight right back, plus more if you don’t have a maintenance plan in place! But, diets alone don’t work. Diets with extensive controls do not help control or reduce cravings and people will simply begin to regain weight.

People who have long-term issues with weight, are hard to motivate toward lifestyle change to eliminate the effects of long-term obesity. If they don’t find alternatives – the medical consequences are devastating. Doctors and surgeons have several approaches: special diets, exercises, and then – pills, pills, pills … pills for appetite control, pills to block fats, pills to build energy or the immune system, pills for this, and pills for that, and then if that doesn’t work, surgery for this, and for that – until finally they are either stapling your stomach or installing a gastric lap band. If you go that route, you have my prayers.

Medications that are prescribed as part of a self-help weight loss program can damage the heart or lungs and many have been banned because some previous patients have required heart or lung transplants from taking these medicines.

Fad diets, often cause rapid weight loss by disturbing the balances of the body, making it shed excess water needed for the muscular system and organs. Later in life nutritional deficiencies and organic failure occurs to rapid weight loss dieters.

Body reshaping exercise can be used as a weight loss strategy, there are issues with exercise where it’s misused and can damage the body. When you exercise strenuously in endurance training often the body goes into an anaerobic metabolism and stops normal calories burning, because the metabolism slows down to retain as much energy as possible.

Those who are overweight struggle with unconscious eating issues and controlling their appetites. The most effective way to overcome craving is through the use of hypnosis and self-hypnosis audio programs. Hypnosis focuses on is the unconscious craving issues allowing you to lose weight without using willpower – and you’ll keep it off!  Unlike other therapies designed to suppress the appetite, hypnosis is inexpensive. One of the least costly ways to reap the benefits of this hypnosis for cravings, is to click here http://journeysinwardhypnotherapy.com/mp3/eating-disorders

Stop Smoking

Stop Smoking HypnosisI am not going to be the Whistleblower, and therefore I steadfastly refuse to be the one to tell you that smoking will kill you. After all, hasn’t the Tobacco Industry shown you all kinds of cool images, saying you’re in Marlboro Country and that’s cool to be here? Wait, the Marlboro Man died long ago from some horrid form of cancer, and isn’t around to enjoy it. Maybe Marlboro Country isn’t the place to be.

And, the tobacco companies show you South Pacific beaches or snowy Colorado mountains with skiers with menthol cigarettes to show you how really KOOL it can get. But in reality, if you smoke that stick, you’re in for a life sentence. We all know it, we all know someone who has or is suffering from it, and man – it’s addictive and you can’t stop without help. And, here’s the help you need to stop right now.

First, listen to this: While traveling abroad I found that the medical community outside the US took a more severe approach to the health threats of tobacco and printed pictures of tombstones, dead fetuses, and things like that on the cigarette pack itself, often on the flip top lid. Now, that’s scary.

Not the pictures themselves, although they are scary enough, but that someone who had a pack of cigarettes would take them out of their pocket and lift the hinged box lid which had some awful picture on it, and would take out a cigarette and see the picture and put the cigarette in their mouth and light it, and would close the box top, see the picture again and put in back in their pocket and start smoking. That’s really scary to me.

But, when you come to dollars and sense about it – gee, there are some great alternatives to the costs of smoking and perhaps you didn’t realize it. A person who smokes a pack a day is wasting about $1500 up just on cigarettes and lighters. Now, their insurance costs for health and life insured goes up considerably for the early years, health insurance is just like 15% more, after 40 the numbers really rack up, and by the time you compute how much health and life insurance cost, figure your annual cigarette cost is just unbelievably high until about 40 and from there it all depends what vile form of sickness the inhaling of poison causes, it could raise in your final years to hundreds of thousands of dollars per year, just the price of needless suffering, instead of enjoying that beach that the cigarette companies promise you.

How would you like to have a different reality? Well, you can and I’ll help you. How about taking a Journey Inward with me, and later really enjoy a week on Maui, or Bali, or a Beach in South East Asia, or anywhere in the world you want instead for the money you saved for not smoking for a year. You can do it!

And what is the value of a week vacation ……. a major reduction in the stress that kept you smoking. And you’ll avoid years of health miseries by STOPPING SMOKING. You want to know the secret – come visit the world of  http://journeysinwardhypnotherapy.com/mp3/addictions/smoking-cessation-hypnotherapy and just close your eyes, draw in a deep breath, and listen to the audio along with me. You’ll relax and before you know it, your own subconscious will be reprogrammed to be FREE and YOU will be FREE from smoking quickly. So, then … save your money and I’ll meet you at the beach.
